Post Cards to San Francisco

Dear San Francisco,

Thank you for a memorable experience in your city. I will never forget all that your city has to offer. I enjoyed visiting Fisherman’s Wharf, Chinatown, Pier 39, and the Muir woods. I would recommend these places to those who have yet to visit the golden city. The Golden Gate Bridge was amazing; I never realized how foggy it got until I got there. The bridge is not only connecting two pieces of land, it is also connecting people together from all over the world. There were so many languages I heard when I was there that made it me appreciate how diverse America truly is.

Sincerely, Someone who loved visiting your city

P.S. Stay golden

A Bowl Full of Cherries

Every summer I go to Door County Wis. with my family. There are so many things to do it is hard to choose even if you have been there before. That is always our problem every year, we try cherry-picking our activities and run out of time to do everything. A good idea is to plan ahead and research activities that fit with your personality. Whether you’re an athlete, an artist, a nature-lover, a spender, or a foodie: or who knows, a little of them all, there are things for everyone to do.

Growing an Identity

Not too long ago my Twitter account was hacked into, I felt like someone stole my identity. At first I was worried but then I realized I didn’t know who I was back then. So in a way it wasn’t really me that got hacked, but a faceless version of whom I thought I was. Sometimes you need to step back to see the difference between whom you thought you were and who you are.

I always felt that I had to create this image of myself, to have the latest clothes, and act a certain way to get people to like me. Like many young people I looked in magazines, on Television, and in movies to see whom I wanted to be like.

There are so many role models out there it is hard to narrow out whom to look up to. Many of them are not who they say they are. They walk around with a fake facade, only showing what they want us to see. We look up to people whose intentions become fuzzy over time. And after a while we realize we have no idea what they stand for anymore.
